ZAMORA COMPANY GROWS 28% IN 2021 AND REACHES 220 MILLION EUROS IN REVENUES

Ramón Bilbao is celebrating its centenary with its sights set on the future, determined to continue to blaze a trail on an international level. The Rioja winery, also established in Rueda, is a forerunner in making wines with a distinctive and contemporary style drawn from the grape, as well as in producing high-altitude wines, rosé wines for ageing, and those made using ancestral varieties.

The company triumphed in 2023 at the most important international awards such as the World Gin Awards 2023, the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2023, and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The quality of Zamora Company’s brands also won over the jury of The Spirits Business Masters, which awarded them a master’s medal and five gold medals.

The results are in! Martin Miller’s very own oak-aged gin has two fabulous award wins to announce.

Ramón Bilbao appears for the fifth year in a row on the prestigious list of the World’s Most Admired Wine Brands.  This year, six other Spanish wineries join us in this highly sought after classification.

In 2022, the group maintained the same energy consumption intensity as in 2021, although production at its plants increased by 18%. 2021, although the production of its plants increased by 18%. The Fifty Best has once again shined its spotlight on gin by hosting a tasting where 53 contenders were evaluated for the distinguished “Best Gin” awards for 2022.

Mar de Frades once again places its bets on a different view of the Atlantic with its launch of Finca Monteveiga. This new wine, which aims to provide a new interpretation of Albariño, was born in the heart of the Ribera del Río Ulla, a unique and distinguished landscape located a few kilometers from the Galician coast.

This week has witnessed the first edition of Spanish Wine Academy, held in Zurich in Switzerland, with the participation of important sommeliers and figures from the world of winemaking, tasting some of the best Spanish wines currently available on the Swiss market. 

The company has swept the San Francisco World Spirits Competition awards with Licor 43, Vermouth Giardino by Villa Massa and Martin Miller’s Gin. Villa Massa, Licor 43, Lolea and Yellow Rose also won over the SIP Awards jury with important awards. Mar de Frades Finca Valiñas has won the Grand Gold Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, crowning it as the Best White Wine in the World.

The company significantly outperformed its pre-COVID-19 key financial figures by turning over 5.8% more than in 2019 and driving the development of its brands in all key channels and markets. The consolidated financial statements show a gross turnover of 220 million euros.

Cruz de Alba’s most unique wine obtains its highest score ever in one of the world’s most prestigious wine competitions. This very important award places this unique wine, produced in the Ribera del Duero’s Milla de Oro, on the map of national and international enological excellence.

The wine company brought together more than 200 acquaintances and customers in Haro for a day of knowledge and the latest trends in the sector. A tasting of eight Rioja wines from the 2001 vintage was one of the activities to prove most popular with the public.

The wine from the Mar de Frades estate has been awarded the Grand Gold Medal, receiving the highest score and classified as this year’s International Revelation White Wine in a competition with over 7,000 participants.

Martin Miller’s Gin, the world’s most awarded gin brand since 2004, continues its support of emerging art with the announcement of its new partnership with StART Art Fair, a contemporary art fair taking place from Wednesday 12- Sunday16 October 2022 at the prodigious Saatchi Gallery in London.
