ÁGATHA RUIZ DE LA PRADA AND COSIMA RAMÍREZ WILL DESIGN THE MAR DE FRADES LIMITED EDITION FOR 2019
Spanish designer Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada and her influencer daughter, Cosima Ramírez, will create the limited edition of Mar de Frades that will reach the markets by the end of 2019.
In this way, the Mar de Frades winery reaffirms its commitment to fashion and culture, renewing an initiative that began in 2011. Past editions were developed with other Spanish fashion names such as Luby Lab, Jorge Vázquez, Miguel Palacio, Alvarno, Duyos or Ana Locking. This year's partnership and its design bring an important novelty: for the first time there will be two limited editions that will be developed, two different images to illustrate the iconic blue bottle of the most singular Albariño.
Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada and her daughter Cosima Ramírez, will bring their unmistakable creative stamps to dress the bottle of Mar de Frades with which they share many values.
Ágatha Ruíz de la Prada indicates "since I started my professional career I have never left anyone indifferent, and having the opportunity to do something new, like dressing up a wine as outstanding as Mar de Frades is a challenge that particularly interests me. I am attracted to challenges, brave by nature and, like Mar de Frades, I also consider myself unconquerable. "
On the other side, Cosima Ramírez stressed that she is very excited about this project, "designing alongside my mother is a great challenge. I think there's a lot of inspiration in wine. For me personally, Mar de Frades is an Albariño that I love".
Mother and daughter will aim to develop two singular proposals adapted to the taste and style of their two generations. Both designers are currently in the middle of the creative process and the limited editions will hit the market from November 2019, in a collection of 30,000 bottles.
