RAMÓN BILBAO RECEIVES THE “SAFE TOURISM” CERTIFICATE, AWARDED BY THE INSTITUTE FOR SPANISH TOURISM QUALITY AT THE MINISTRY OF TOURISM
Ramón Bilbao, already a benchmark in the sector, continues to lead the commitment to responsible and safe national tourism with its activity at the Haro bodega. Thanks to the protection and safety measures and protocols implemented at the winery, Ramón Bilbao has earned itself the “Safe Tourism” certificate, a seal backed by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality at the Ministry of Tourism (ICTE), which certifies the implementation of the Health Risk Prevention System against COVID-19.
“Safe Tourism Certified” conveys the concept of certified safe tourism to anyone who visits the winery, the seal itself indicating that the different measures and protocols for the obtention of this certificate are being met.
Ramón Bilbao has achieved this certificate through the implementation of a new safety framework that encompasses all “enotourism” activities. Ramón Bilbao has created safe centres so that the consumer can fully enjoy an unforgettable visit, throughout which the whole space has been adapted to meet the official health recommendations that ensure maximum safety and hygiene.
These measures entail a reduction in the capacity of shops, visits and tasting rooms, in all of which the minimum safety distance must be maintained; entry control to guarantee the permitted maximum capacity is not surpassed; the instalment of sanitising products at various points throughout the centre and services; the effort of daily cleaning and disinfection using authorised virucide products; the removal of points of common contact and their replacement with individual formats; specific staff training in hygiene, health measures and mechanisms of control to avoid the spread of infection; emphasis on payments by card and the use of our booking centre as well as signposting of the required safety distance and direction of circulation in order to maintain a safe distance among visitors.
With a view to ensuring a safe experience, our visits have been redesigned to give greater protagonism to large, comfortable, open spaces and outdoor spaces so as to carry out the various experiences in a well-ventilated open space. We have also decided to make the visits more dynamic, thus reducing the duration of each activity. Furthermore, the rural, natural surroundings in which our activities are held are far from crowds, minimising any kind of risk. What’s more, the consumer can book private experiences for small groups and avoid being exposed to contact with other visitors altogether.
During these months, Ramón Bilbao has maintained its efforts in light of the current uncertainty, always firmly committed to the kind of national tourism that promotes activities around the Designation of Origin. Riojan wine has its doors wide open and is available to all those who want to enjoy safe tourism, endorsed by the “Safe Tourism” seal, which is sustainable, quality and respectful of the surroundings, reflecting a practice which characterises the future of tourism in our own country, in natural settings with unique and unforgettable experiences.
