Sugarlandia is the spiritual home of Don Papa Rum. It is a timeless place where nature is still the dominant life force. It is lush, fertile land in which sugarcane thrives. The old sugar mills in Negros grind the sugar cane resulting in our special ‘black gold’ molasses, from which the rich, sweet Don Papa Rum is distilled.

WHAT IS IT?

Don Pap Rum is a molasses based rum aged in American Oak & Rioja barrels and distilled in the foothills of Mount. Kanlaon, Negros Island, Philippines. Don Papa is a tribute to Papa Isio, the real life, charismatic leader from Negros, who in the 1890’s helped drive the Spanish from the island and win indepenance for Sugarlandia. Don Papa’s 2 permanent expressions are the 7 year, with notes of vanilla, honey and candied fruit; and the 10 year, aged in recharred oak barrels creating big, bold notes of dried fruit and cacao.
