ZAMORA COMPANY GROWS 28% IN 2021 AND REACHES 220 MILLION EUROS IN REVENUES

The incorporation of Godeval reinforces the group’s strategic coherence in its commitment to premium white wines, adding the godello variety—one of the most promising—to its portfolio alongside verdejo (Ramón Bilbao) and albariño (Mar de Frades). Godeval’s founding family remains part of the project, ensuring the continuity of the legacy, expertise, and authenticity that have made the winery an icon of the Valdeorras Denomination of Origin.

The company presents its fifth Conscious Business Report, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda. The group reduced its Scope 1 and 2 carbon footprint by 8% compared to 2023 and increased the number of suppliers operating under its Sustainable Procurement Model to 1,500.

With a more modern, premium, and cosmopolitan design, this new vintage reflects the winery’s innovative spirit and its clear commitment to excellence and quality, aiming to share experiences and create unique memories.

With this new addition to its portfolio, the company expands the existing agreement with the Mexican company The IIDEA Company, which also owns Tequila Buen Amigo, distributed and marketed by Zamora Company in Spain.

Following the recent celebration of its centenary, Ramón Bilbao reaches a new milestone: being named among the 50 most admired wine brands in the world for the seventh consecutive year. This is a historic achievement, as only two other Spanish wineries, in addition to Ramón Bilbao, have reached this remarkable feat since the launch of this prestigious ranking.

The company reaffirms its support for the Ten Principles related to human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption. This commitment aligns with its strategy as a Conscious Company, structured around three core pillars: good governance, transparency, and conscious leadership.

The company presents its Conscious Company Report with more than 70 measures implemented in 2023, committed to achieving ‘zero waste’ by 2025. Last year, the company’s average renewable energy consumption was 64%, and its goal for 2025 is to reduce CO2 emissions to as low as 15%. The Zamora Company team, consisting of 25 different nationalities, grew by 3% last year. The company allocated 2% of its net profit to the most needy communities.

The Cartagena-based company is investing two million euros in the plant located on the Sorrento peninsula in Italy. The group aims to maintain the brand’s leadership in Spain, the Netherlands, and Portugal, while expanding in other markets such as the United States and, especially, Latin America. Villa Massa was the first non-Spanish brand acquired by Zamora Company, which also owns premium brands such as Licor 43 and Ramón Bilbao.

Ramón Bilbao is celebrating its centenary with its sights set on the future, determined to continue to blaze a trail on an international level. The Rioja winery, also established in Rueda, is a forerunner in making wines with a distinctive and contemporary style drawn from the grape, as well as in producing high-altitude wines, rosé wines for ageing, and those made using ancestral varieties.

The company triumphed in 2023 at the most important international awards such as the World Gin Awards 2023, the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2023, and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The quality of Zamora Company’s brands also won over the jury of The Spirits Business Masters, which awarded them a master’s medal and five gold medals.

Ramón Bilbao appears for the fifth year in a row on the prestigious list of the World’s Most Admired Wine Brands. This year, six other Spanish wineries join us in this highly sought after classification.

Mar de Frades once again places its bets on a different view of the Atlantic with its launch of Finca Monteveiga. This new wine, which aims to provide a new interpretation of Albariño, was born in the heart of the Ribera del Río Ulla, a unique and distinguished landscape located a few kilometers from the Galician coast.
