MARTIN MILLER’S 9 MOONS GIN SHINES AT WORLD GIN AWARDS & IWSC
Martin Miller’s very own oak-aged gin has two fabulous award wins to announce. Gin Magazine has unveiled the gins taking the top spots in its annual competition, with Martin Miller’s 9 Moons Gin taking both Gold and Best Matured Gin in the United Kingdom - another accolade for the world’s most awarded gin brand since 2004.
The World Gin Awards recognise the best gins in the world, tasted and voted by a panel of expert judges to crown the World’s Best. Gin Magazine’s Editor said of this year’s challenge: “We have been blown away by both the quantity and quality of entries to this year’s awards, and a massive thanks and congratulations is due to all those who entered.”
In each country and category in the first round, only 1 gold, silver and bronze are awarded: all are score-based and a winning product has to reach a certain threshold determined by the judges. Only one product in each category will ever be awarded Country Winner. The competition describes Martin Miller’s 9 Moons Gin as: “A delicious example of a barrel aged gin with a lovely harmony between the wood from the barrel and the gin's botanicals. Light notes of orange and a pinch of baking spice add complexity, alongside a silky, slightly oily mouthfeel. Excellent."
Also just announced are the IWSC’s 2023 spirits winners. This competition is world-renowned and now in its 54th year so we are very happy to announce that Martin Miller’s 9 Moons Gin scored a Gold! The crack team of judges have said: “Crème brûlée and coconut oil on the nose. Well balanced with a soft and rich mouthfeel. A lovely fruity palate with hints of tonka, vanilla sweetness and coffee. Delicate, complex and utterly delicious.”
