MIRTO 2015 has achieved the GRAN GOLD Medal in the prestigious BACCHUS WINE contest organized by the Spanish Union of Tasters (UEC) in Madrid.

The XIX Edition of the Bacchus 2021 International Wine Competition hosted a total of 80 national and international tasters —masters of wine, prescribers, sommeliers, oenologists and wine critics— who have blindly analyzed a total of 1,692 wines from around the world, from from countries such as Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Argentina, Australia, Germany, Slovakia, Mexico, Czech Republic, Brazil, Uruguay, Peru, Tunisia, New Zealand and Moldova. Only thirty of them have achieved the same Great Gold medal that Mirto 2015 has obtained.

The 83 experts who were part of the jury to carry out the blind tasting also came from various nationalities such as Italy, Sweden, Romania, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Denmark, Slovakia, Germany, Argentina, Finland, Uruguay, United States, Poland , Canada, Czech Republic, Colombia, Portugal, Mexico or Moldova.

Promoted by the Spanish Union of Tasters (UEC), this important international contest is sponsored by the International Vineyard Organization (OIV) and the World Federation of Great Wine and Spirits Competitions (VINOFED). The Great Gold Medal, the highest distinction of this contest, places Mirto as one of the great wines of the world.
