RAMÓN BILBAO AND MAR DE FRADES REACTIVATE ENOTOURISM AT THEIR BODEGAS
Ramón Bilbao and Mar de Frades are once again open to the public for this spring season. Adhering to the established health measures, our installations have adapted their facilities, routes and services in order to guarantee the utmost safety upon restarting activities both outdoors as well as inside the bodega.
This reopening is taking place at the bodegas in Haro and Rueda (Valladolid) as well as at Mar de Frades, coinciding with the vineyard’s period of greatest splendour.
For that reason, our bodegas have reactivated their most successful offers, alongside new initiatives for the continued enjoyment of enotourism with a difference.
Enotourism at La Rioja
At our grounds in Haro, Ramón Bilbao used to receive over 4,000 visitors each year before the arrival of COVID-19. Now that the health situation allows for freer travel between regions, many of the activities that were previously up and running at the bodega are available once again, now including new experiences such as our electric bike tours, and always applying the strictest regulations to protect the health and safety of our visitors.
The electric bike tours go out into the vineyard landscapes in Rioja Alta alongside a specialised guide who will tell you the meaning surrounding the vineyard, its winegrowing, nature and historical and cultural setting. At the end of the trip, visitors are invited to the Wine Bar to experience the bodega’s finished product, enjoying a taste of our wine with an accompanying snack.
What’s more, the bodega has just opened its new interior patio where you can sample a wide range of wines, as well as the bodega’s Wine Bar, where the wine on offer comes with a small gastronomical token to show visitors all the possibilities Haro and Ramón Bilbao have to offer.

Following the halt brought about by the health crisis, the Mar de Frades bodega reopens to the public from 1st June for visitors to enjoy the very best of safes enotourism, with unique experiences inviting you to discover the most Atlantic wine in its place of origin: Galicia.
With experiences held 100% outdoors, in the bodega’s vineyards and patio, so as to enjoy the salty character of the wine alongside the best local cuisine. This offer includes the option to book last-minute, adapting to the times we’re living in.
Mar de Frades offers enotourism in a privileged location: the Valiñas Estate receives the marine breeze from the River of Arousa, and is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine, exquisite gastronomy and spectacular views.
