ZAMORA COMPANY DONATES FUNDS TO THE RED CROSS AND FOOD BANK FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY THE DANA
Zamora Company, the owner of Licor 43 and Ramón Bilbao among other premium brands, will donate €70,000 to various organisations such as the Spanish Red Cross and the Food Bank of the Valencian Community to support those affected by the DANA.
With this contribution, Zamora Company aims to help alleviate, as much as possible, the suffering endured by those impacted. “As a company, we feel profound dismay and sorrow for the terrible tragedy Valencia is experiencing, and we stand in solidarity with all the victims of this catastrophe,” explained José María de Santiago, President of Zamora Company.
This donation complements an initiative launched by the Cartagena-based company among its employees, encouraging them to voluntarily contribute to this cause through individual monetary donations to the Spanish Red Cross. The company is also motivating employees to organise local initiatives, such as the collection of cleaning supplies coordinated at the Rueda winery.
A Conscious Business Model
This initiative is part of the company’s philanthropic strategy aimed at supporting the most vulnerable groups, in alignment with its Conscious Business model. This approach is embedded across the organisation and seeks to develop a strategy that delivers a positive impact not only on the group’s financial results but also on society, the environment, its 500+ employees, and consumers.
In this way, Zamora Company allocates more than 2% of its annual profits to projects that enhance the well-being of disadvantaged groups by collaborating with various social organisations. The support is channelled into programmes that facilitate job placement, promote vocational training, assist in integrating at-risk children, and improve the lives of elderly people without resources.
