The company presents its fifth Conscious Business Report, aligned with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In 2024, the group reduced its Scope 1 and 2 carbon footprint by 8% compared to 2023 and increased the number of suppliers operating under its Sustainable Procurement Model to 1,500. Zamora Company—the group behind brands such as Licor 43, Pacharán Zoco, Martin Miller’s Gin, and Ramón Bilbao, among other premium wines and spirits—continues to consolidate its sustainable leadership model with the publication of its fifth Conscious Business Report, covering the year 2024. Among other milestones, the report highlights that 94% of waste generated at production centers was recycled. This responsible management aligns with the company's sustainable leadership strategy, which is the cornerstone of its Conscious Business approach. Once again, this framework has enabled Zamora Company to implement initiatives aimed at using resources efficiently, generating positive social impact, and offering innovative, high-quality premium beverages.

The social and environmental actions undertaken in 2024 reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to its consumers, employees, society, and the planet. Along this line, Zamora Company renewed its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact.
“With our fifth Conscious Business Report, we close 2024 with our sights set on the challenges ahead, but also with the confidence that we are on the right path: one of profitable, responsible, and long-term growth,” stated Javier Pijoan, CEO of Zamora Company.

Progress in Environmental Action

In 2024, Zamora Company continued implementing a range of environmental measures to move toward its target of reducing CO₂ emissions by 15% by 2025, using 2020 as the baseline year. These measures include energy efficiency improvements, electrification of processes, and increased use of renewable energy. Last year, the group achieved an 8% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and reached 61.7% renewable energy consumption, aiming to reach 90% by 2025.

Zamora Company also introduced certified eco-friendly paper labels and reduced bottle weight, resulting in an annual savings of over 100 tonnes of glass. The number of suppliers increased to 1,500, with a continued focus on working with national suppliers—around 90% of the total—certified according to sustainability criteria.

A key environmental milestone in 2024 was Ramón Bilbao's achievement of the Silver certification from the International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA), underscoring the brand’s strong commitment to sustainability and greenhouse gas reduction in the wine industry. In addition, 2024 marked the 100th anniversary of Ramón Bilbao, a winery that has spent a century dedicated to excellence, land stewardship, and ecosystem preservation, and today stands as a benchmark for precision viticulture.

Innovation with Impact

In 2024, Zamora Company reaffirmed its collaboration with leading organizations such as the Spanish Wine Federation (FEV), SpiritsSpain (FEBE), and the Foundation for Wine and Nutrition Research (FIVIN), and continued its participation in the European Wine in Moderation program.

Customer experience remained a key strategic focus. Visitor centers such as Experiencia 43 in Cartagena renewed their ‘Q’ for Quality and ‘S’ for Sustainability certifications from the ICTE, while Mar de Frades and Ramón Bilbao maintained their status as top national wine tourism destinations.

2024 was also a year defined by impactful innovation. The launch of Tequila Volteo showcased the group’s ability to deliver distinctive products aligned with its sustainability and innovation values. This approach earned the company more than 20 international awards. Ramón Bilbao was once again ranked among the world’s 50 most admired wine brands, and wines such as Garnacha 100 Meses de Hormigón and Finca Valhonta received outstanding scores from Decanter and other international wine guides.

Social Action

The company allocated 2% of its annual net profit to social initiatives supporting vulnerable families, job integration programs, and aid for people without housing. In 2024, Zamora Company also launched a corporate volunteer program to actively involve employees in the group's social responsibility efforts. Initiatives included school supply drives, participation in Fundación La Caixa’s “Tree of Dreams” campaign, and volunteering for Carrefour’s Back to School initiative.

Zamora Company also maintained strong support for culture, art, and sport in 2024, through sponsorship and participation in several events. For the first time, Mar de Frades was the official wine of the Málaga Film Festival. In celebration of its 100th anniversary, Ramón Bilbao was the exclusive wine partner at two major music festivals: Noches del Botánico in Madrid and Icónica Fest 2024 in Seville.
